Our Founder

Nahla Ward, MS

As a passionate STEM educator and Curriculum Writer, in my years of experience as a teacher I noticed that science education did not seem as valued as other subjects in multiple schools. I founded this company to develop science education in schools and community programs by developing services that will transform science curricula and build transferable takeaways that can be applied to multiple academic disciplines. The STEM Journey’s focus is to infuse inquiry based and cultural relevant pedagogy into the classroom and the communities to build our future leaders!

I have served as a 6th and 7th grade science teacher for 5 years in Philadelphia and New York City. I will be transitioning into my new role as a Director of Curriculum and Instruction in a New York City charter school.

Receiving my Bachelors of Liberal Arts degree from Temple University and my Master's of Science degree from University at Albany - State University of New York in Curriculum Development and Instructional Technology (STEM), my deep rooted passion is to redesign science curriculum. This will help student foster a love for science education. I am a published researcher with Drexel University’s School of Education in the International Journal of Instruction and I am consistently seeking opportunities to enhance STEM education.
